Dr. Judith Grinblat

Head of HR-TEM Unit

The High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope (HR-TEM) laboratory is under the supervision of Dr. Judith Grinblat, and is equipped with a most advanced microscope, the JEOL JEM-2100, LaB6 .
The HR-TEM serves faculty and students within Bar Ilan, as well as other institutions and industry.

  • Daily maintenance and inspection of the microscope.
  • Choosing the right function and technique of the microscope in order to examine the researcher's assumptions.
    Evaluating the results:
  • Image processing and atomic scale structural imaging.
  • Compound identification via the Diffraction Patterns: Indexing of the Diffraction Patterns.

Education

  • Ph.D - 2001, Bar IlanUniversity.
Doctoral Dissertation - "Electrophilic Reactions on Carbanions and Their Induced Processes" Under the supervision of  S. Hoz.
  • M.Sc. - 1990, Bar IlanUniversity.
  • B.Sc. - 1986, Bar IlanUniversity.
